J.R. Randall, MBA

Head of Strategic Alliances

J.R. Randall builds the partnerships that turn a great platform into an industry standard.

He brings deep experience at the intersection of enterprise health technology, AI and ML integration, and strategic alliances. His career spans building partnership ecosystems with hyperscaler clouds, software and advisory firms, and standards bodies, translating complex infrastructure into commercial traction. His measure of success has always been straightforward: the best indicator of a leader is how many people around them get promoted.

At Ferrum, J.R. runs all strategic partnerships, including relationships designed to accelerate product development, compress time-to-market, and drive direct sales. His goal over the next 12 to 24 months is to make Ferrum the default governance layer for AI councils across health systems, building a partner ecosystem so strong that clinical AI governance and Ferrum become synonymous.

J.R. holds a BS in Industrial Engineering from Stanford and an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management. He serves as Board Treasurer at Hillcrest Children and Family Services and sits on the Leadership Board at the MIT McGovern Institute for Brain Research. He also serves on the Literature and Arts Council at the University Club of DC.

Outside of work, he researches genealogy, reads military history and biography, watches film noir, and spends time with impressionist art. He is the youngest of nine children, with 30 aunts and uncles, which likely gave him an early education in navigating large, complicated organizations.
