Ferrum Health and Lumexa Imaging partner for Access to Innovation in Clinical AI
SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Ferrum Health announced an agreement with Lumexa Imaging™ to provide access to various Ferrum Health-validated clinical artificial intelligence (AI) tools through a single platform across Lumexa Imaging’s national network. Lumexa Imaging is one of the largest national providers of diagnostic imaging services by freestanding location count, expanding access and setting the standard for clinically excellent, cost-effective care.
Ferrum’s AI Governance Suite gives Lumexa Imaging access to cutting-edge AI tools as they become available via Ferrum’s platform. Lumexa Imaging is able to evaluate this technology quickly, adopt or pause its use as needed, and measure its impact with metrics that fit each use case, facilitating both increased accessibility and performance accountability.
“Patient access to high-quality imaging at scale is a strategic focus for Lumexa Imaging. Ferrum’s AI Governance Suite gives us one connection for all sites, and vendor neutral measurement across all models, making performance transparent and comparable. We believe that our use of externally sourced (as opposed to internally developed) AI can facilitate the accelerated adoption of AI, reduce future capital investment, and preserve the flexibility to select and maintain the most valuable AI solutions,” said Lachlan Tidmarsh, Chief Information Officer, Lumexa Imaging.
Ferrum’s AI Governance Suite integrates clinical AI for Lumexa Imaging on a single, interoperable platform. Lumexa Imaging is able to select FDA-cleared applications across modalities and bring each into the workflow through a single pathway, measuring performance with a shared, objective standard.
“Lumexa Imaging adopted Ferrum’s AI Governance Suite across their national network to deliver industry-leading clinical quality and patient value. With one way to bring clinical AI into the workflow and one trusted way to measure results, innovation can move quickly, enhance radiologists’ capacity and detect hard-to-find abnormalities, as well as create more operational excellence efficiencies. Ferrum’s AI Governance Suite supports Lumexa Imaging’s promise to provide clinically excellent, cost-effective care and a seamless experience that puts comfort, clarity, and confidence first,” said Pelu Tran, CEO and Co-founder, Ferrum Health.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides the reliable scale and security Lumexa Imaging needs to expand Ferrum’s AI Governance Suite across modalities and locations. The deployment uses Amazon EC2 for compute, Amazon EKS for container orchestration, and Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL for managed database services.
“AWS gives Lumexa Imaging the unparalleled scale and resilience to run Ferrum’s AI Governance Suite across modalities and locations, while keeping security front and center. We’re proud to collaborate with these two industry-leading organizations,” said Dr. Rowland Illing,
